NanoMalaysia provides services to industries, universities and research institutions under four programme.


The NANOVerify programme is a voluntary nanotechnology certification programme. There are three (3) schemes under this programme. The schemes are;  (i)NANOVerify Programme , (ii) NANOTrust Programme and (iii) GRAPHENEVerify Programme.

The NANOVerify Programme certifies processes and products which have incorporated nano elements within the 1 to 100 nanometre range. Apart from size and type certification, the NANOVerify Programme offers certification on the functionality enhancements obtained as a result of embedding nano elements, covering mechanical, surface, and electrical properties.

Programme is a voluntary nanotechnology certification programme, jointly created with SIRIM QAS International and under the advisory of Standards Malaysia. Operated by NANOVerify Sdn Bhd, this programme will certify processes and products with claims of nano-elements in the range of 1 to 100 nanometre.

To give you a sense of the matter, one (1) nanometre is a billionth of a metre and is approximately the width of a human hair sliced 100,000 times.

Why do manufacturers adopt nano-elements in their products? Nano-scale particles and structures possess enhanced strength, flexibility, heat transmission, electrical conductivity, sensitivity, selectivity and reactivity as well as heat and electrical insulation.

  • This programme is the first voluntary nano-certification programme in Malaysia and the sixth of its kind in the world was launched on 22nd May 2015 and since then it has verified many kind of products ranging from cosmetic, fertiliser, clothing and technology wafer with carbon nano-tube.
  • NANOVerified is the mark that will be awarded to the processes and products upon successful completion of the NANOVerify programme, as determined by Parties.
  • NANOVerify Enhancement Programme (functionality) is a 5 years plan for NVSB to develop functionality for NANOVerify Programme which include mechanical, electrical and surface properties.
