  • Prof. Emeritus Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohamad Zawawi Bin Ismail

    Prof. Emeritus Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohamad Zawawi Bin Ismail

     

    Dr Zawawi is Chairman of NanoMalaysia Berhad since its inception in 2011. He is currently Chairman of Inti Universal Holdings Sdn Bhd, the owner of Inti International University and Colleges, since 2003, and a member of Board of Governors of Inti International University. He also sits on the Board of Advisors Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) of the Ministry of Education since 2010. 

     

    Emeritus Professor Zawawi was the founding Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, UNIMAS (1992-2000), and prior to that, the Dean of Engineering, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Other previous appointments include Founding Director of Commerce Leadership Institute of CIMB Group, and one of the founders of Mimos Berhad, the Malaysian National R&D for ICT.

     

    In Higher Education he had once served the Board of Malaysia Qualifications Agency MQA, Chairman of the Higher Education APEX Committee (2008), Board Member of International Medical University, Board Member of National Defence University, Board Member of Razak School of Government, Chairman of Universiti Sains Malaysia (2009-12) and Chairman of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2012-15).

     

    He had served several national bodies including National Information Technology Council (1995-2002), National Aerospace Council (2001-02), National Scientific Research and Development Council, and National Higher Education Council (1997-2000). He was once advisor to both the National Science Centre and National Planetarium.

     

    He had served the Boards of several corporate entities including CIMB Bank Berhad (2000-2011), Chairman of iCIMB Sdn Bhd, Chairman of Mesiniaga Berhad, Bumi Armada Berhad, and Commerce Asset Ventures Sdn Bhd.

     

    Emeritus Professor Zawawi gained both his bachelor and doctorate degrees in electronic engineering and received the Doctor of Engineering Honoris Causa (1996) from the University of Leeds, England. He was a recipient of the Senior Commonwealth Academic Fellowship and the Fulbright Fellowship. He is a Foundation Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, a Member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia, and an Honorary Fellow of The Institute of Physics Malaysia for which he once served as its President (1976-79). He is part of Sultan Ismail College and Victoria Institution.

    Dato' Sri Judin received his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Civil Engineering degree from the University of Manchester Institute Of Science and Technology, UK and his Masters of Science in Structural Engineering and Ph. D in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has been awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

    Dato' Sri Judin is currently the President of the Malaysian Structural Steel Association (MSSA), President of the Malaysian Asset and Project Management Association (MAPMA) and Chairman of the World Road Association (PIARC) for Technological Exchanges and Development Commission.

  • Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Salleh Bin Mohd Nor

    Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Salleh Bin Mohd Nor

    Dr. Salleh received his B.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Adelaide, Masters of Science and Ph. D from Michigan State University. A prominent figure among Malaysia's conservationist circle, Dr. Salleh has played a major role in the protection of the Malaysian environment and the conservation of nature and natural resources, particularly via his position as the Director-General of the Forest Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) and the President of Malaysian Nature Society (MNS).

    Dr. Salleh is among the first local scientists to realise the potential of Malaysia's involvement in Antarctic research, spearheading the country's accession to the Antarctic Treaty System (ATS). He is currently the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

    Dr. Rujhan received his Ph.D. and Masters Degree in International Economics from Ritsumeikan University, Japan.

    Dr. Rujhan started his services with the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) as a Deputy Dean of University Malaysia of Sarawak in 2002. Since then, he had served the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and various public universities. His prominent role within MOHE amongst others includes Directorship of Academic Affairs and Director General.

    Dr. Rujhan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Education Performance and Delivery Unit (PADU) under MOE.

    Dato' Ahmad Shukri Bin Hj. Tajuddin

    Dato' Ahmad Shukri is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of board of Senai Hi-Tech Park. He was also the former CEO and member of board of Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP).

    Dato' Ahmad Shukri has been the key personnel in terms of co-founding KHTP's implementation and development master plan for which he had travelled throughout the world to market and create upstream and downstream technological activities to build KHTP to be one of the best science and technological parks in Asia.

  • Associate Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul

    Associate Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul is the current Deputy Secretary General (Science) of the Ministry of Energy, Technology, Science, Climate Change And Environment.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul received his Ph.D. in Climatology from the University of East Anglia in 2007.

    His niche areas include long-term prediction, forecast seasonal monsoon and the relationship between large-scale air circulation and local climate.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul is a certified consultant under the Energy Information Administration (Climate Change, Land Use) and has received many international recognitions in the academic field such as the Chevening Fellowship (British Council) in 2008. He has been appointed as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Climate Change Research,

    King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah from 2012 to 2014.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramzah Dambul has received 18 international and local research and innovation awards since 2008 and has been involved in 18 academic publications so far.
